About Us
We are an independent family run business who have been serving the local community for many years now. Access Able was established in 2004 by Bob. Prior to this Bob had owned and ran a well respected local building firm for in excess of 21 years. In the latter years this building company specialised in carrying out adaptions and alterations for the disabled sector and during that period a sound foundation for understanding customer needs in a very practical home based way was established which has proved invaluable as time has gone on.
With the help of a first rate team we have built up an incredible reputation for being honest, reliable and for offering excellent value for money.
From day one we have been able to offer the best advice and service to our customers from Sharon who is the Company Secretary and also the contact for any account queries. Bob's mum Audrey still helps out on a part time basis in our shop at 98 St. Johns Lane making everyone who calls in feel welcome.
As time has gone on we have added two absolute first rate fully experienced and product qualified engineers. Dan and Peter maintain, service and repair a huge range of equipment including mobility scooters, powerchairs, stairlifts, beds, chairs, hoists and bathlifts etc. Our policy is always to repair and maintain wherever and when ever it is possible so long as it is in the customer's interest for us to do so.
Keeping the workshop running smoothly and assisting the engineers in their work we have the invaluable John, and when you phone us then the likelihood is you will initially be speaking to Sue,who will arrange for brochures and information to be sent to you, she will book in service and repair appointments and transfer you to the sales team for more specialised assistance.
Bob and Mark offer the specialised person centred assessments in both of our shops and also in a customer's home. Their vast experience enables them to cover the full range of equipment available.
Access Able are proud to be acredited to the BHTA which is the UK's oldest and largest healthcare association (founded in 1917) so you can buy with confidence knowing that we adhere to their very strict Code of Practice at all times.
The key to our success is always to put the customer's needs first and that will never change. Our dedicated team will always do their very best to assist and provide solutions to your problems, working hard to give you the level of service that you need and deserve.
Thanks to our many existing customers supporting us with repeat business and recommending us to their friends and family we have grown to become one of the most respected and trusted mobility and home care aid suppliers in Bristol.
